How the Training Process Works
To effectively serve teen mothers in your community, you need to first understand the teen mothers you will be serving. What services are they currently receiving from organizations and agencies in your community? What services are still lacking?
Using the lessons we have learned from 20+ years of direct ministry to teen mothers, TMCInternational is well equipped to guide you through our 4-step training process. This process will take you from just wanting more information to being fully trained and ready to provide the help and services needed by teen mothers in your community. The 4-steps in the TMCInternational Training Process are:
- Readiness Survey - Is there a Need?
The Readiness Survey is a simple 2-page survey you fill out and send back to us. This survey shouldn't take you more than 10 to 15 mintures to fill out. It will help you clarify your own expectations of working with teen mothers and it will help TMCInternational decide how, together, we can make that happen. Please complete the attached Readiness Survey form.
When you've completed the form, press the "Submit by Email" button to send it back to us. Once we receive it, we'll review the information and get back to you within 48 hours letting you know if you should move on to Step 2—The Feasibility Study. - Feasibility Study - Getting Prepared
In Luke 14:28, Jesus says, "“But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it?" The same idea applies to starting a new ministry. In order for you to know what kind of services your ministry should provide teen mothers, you need to do some investigating. TMCInternational's Feasibility Study provides you with a step-by-step tool to not only find out what services you might provide, but also how much it will cost and how many volunteers it will take to start a ministry to teen mothers.
