Thanksgiving Letter 2010
Come and see what our God has done, what awesome miracles He performs for people! Psalm 66:5 (NLT)
As Thanksgiving Day draws near, I find myself wanting to shout from the rooftops the verse listed above. What awesome miracles God has performed this year within the ministry of TMCInternational!
As you may remember, in September, 2009, I began serving full-time with Teen Mother Choices International (TMCInternational). At the same time, I resigned my position as Executive Director of Teen Mother Choices, the ministry God permitted me to establish in 1989. During my 20+ years of direct ministry to teen mothers, God taught me and those who served with me a lot about how to effectively demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ to teen mothers and how to empower them to become independent functioning members of society. Now, the ministry of TMCInternational has the opportunity to use what we learned through Teen Mother Choices to train others to serve more teen mothers in communities throughout the country!
In this year, God has blessed TMCInternational in ways we never could have imagined!
Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Ephesians 3:20 (NLT)
For example:
- In 2010, we were able to fully train Stillwaters Pregnancy Care Center in Kaufman, Texas to serve parenting teen mothers. Today, Stillwaters Pregnancy Care Center is TMCInternational’s first TMCInternational Licensee!
- As we near the end of 2010, TMCInternational is currently training churches and Pregnancy Care Centers in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Florida and Texas!
- Besides assisting churches and Pregnancy Care Centers as they work through the TMCInternational Training Process, God has granted us the opportunity to provide other resources to those currently serving teen mothers and those just beginning.

- Training Webinars – Continued training opportunities available through the internet.
- Light to Lead the Way– A devotional written for teen mothers using The Five Life Roles of a Teen Mother ®.

As you can see, God really has done awesome miracles within the TMCInternational ministry in 2010! Besides doing miracles, God has brought amazing people to volunteer and work alongside us as well, each one using his or her talents to demonstrate to the world around what great miracles God can perform when His people work together!
On Monday, October 18, 2010 The Board of Directors of TMCInternational met for our annual meeting. The first part of the day was spent reviewing all God had done so far this year. Together, we rejoiced in all God had done this past year! We were also struck with the fact that there was still so much work to do! After much discussion and prayer that God would continue to lead this ministry where HE would want it to go, we framed the strategic plan for 2011. This plan was formulated into three categories; Ministry Building (training churches and organizations to serve teen mothers in new locations), Administration Building (adding additional, much needed staff) and Fundraising. Here is a short summary of each part of the plan.
- Ministry Building – By December, 2011 TMCInternational would have 150 new locations actively working through the TMCInternational Training Process.
- Administration Building – By December 2011 we would have the ability to pay the President and Execuitve Assistant full salaries (each position currently is paid $15,000 annually). We would bring on a full-time Development Director and bring on a full-time Training Coach.
- Fundraising – We would raise $250,000 needed to implement the Ministry Building and Administration Building.

As Thanksgiving draws closer and as you thank God for all that He has done in your life this year, won’t you please stop for a moment and thank God as well for all the awesome miracles He has performed through the ministry of TMCInternational? He has done great things!
Please prayerfully consider if God would want you to financially partner with TMCInternational. Perhaps He is calling you to become a Monthly Ministry Partner; financially supporting TMCInternational on a monthly basis. Or, perhaps He is asking you to give a one-time year end gift. Either way, your financial partnership will enable us to reach our financial goal of $250,000 which in turn will make it possible for teen mothers throughout the country to come face to face with the love of Jesus Christ in 2011.
